CBD and PTSD?
The CBD market has grown so much that multi-billion-dollar companies and the veteran community are paying attention. Many people expect the CBD market to grow to $22 billion by 2022 as the numerous reviews of CBD’s anxiety-relieving properties, pain-relieving, delivered without a “high” or any psychoactive effects on body functions continue to grow. There are veterans who say it has helped them deal with anxiety and PTSD.
CBD, or cannabidiol, was discovered in 1940, and it is one of the naturally occurring cannabinoids found in hemp plants. CBD products include oils, topical lotions, gummies, vape, and sprays.
CBD is known to have non-psychoactive effects, unlike marijuana products. CBD does not give a “high” feeling caused by THC, a psychoactive cannabinoid. CBD helps relieve pain, relieve cancer-related symptoms, reduce anxiety, and depression, reduce acne and could help heart health, among other things.
CBD oil is also used to treat PTSD, instead of taking anti-depressant and anti-anxiety pills for PTSD.
